Description

This 1998 R.C. Allen Aristocrat Archtop Electric Jazz Guitar was custom built for Willie G. Moseley, Senior Writer for Vintage Guitar Magazine and is in excellent condition with light, normal wear! Tiny pressure dimples and spots of normal finish “sink” (pictured) can be detected upon close inspection, but it’s overall super clean and very structurally sound. Neck is straight as an arrow and frets show little to no wear. Looks, plays and sounds fantastic!

The late, great R.C. “Dick” Allen (1934-2014) was the last of the original Southern California guitar builders. Notable clients (and friends) include players such as Merle Travis and Joe Maphis. We’re very pleased to offer this beautiful, one of a kind instrument hand-crafted by one of the pioneers of the Southern California guitar industry’s early days!
