Description
This Old Kraftsman Closed Back 5-String Banjo shows noticeable cosmetic wear one would expect with a vintage instrument, yet is structurally sound! Made by Kay for the Spiegel department store chain. The exact year of manufacture is unknown, but it is believed to have been made in the ’60s. Equipped with Kluson Deluxe tuners and a Grover fifth string tuner. Neck is straight as an arrow and fretboard/frets show light to moderate wear. One bolt cap nut has been replaced with a standard hex nut. Professionally set up by our in-house folk instrument technician, Dana Clark! Plays and sounds fantastic! Case/gig bag sold separately.
