Description
This AWESOME 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar shows noticeable, but normal wear one would expect with a vintage instrument! Scratches, dings and case rash are clearly evident, but these imperfections are cosmetic in nature only and do not affect the functionality of the instrument. A small break at one of the screw holes inside the potentiometer cavity was professionally repaired by our luthiers (shown in pic 12). Structurally sound! Very aesthetically pleasing with its cool, road worn vibe. Tons of mojo!
The guitar just received a professional stainless steel refret from our very own Aidan Berry! Beautifully done! Aidan also hand crafted a brand new bone nut and the craftsmanship is equally impressive! Other upgrades include a new TonePros Tune-o-matic bridge, CTS 500k pots and MOD capacitors! The caps’ values are .01 (neck) and .022 (bridge). All original components that have been replaced are also included for the purists, of course! One thing that hasn’t changed is the pickups! Yep, this guitar is loaded with its original Tim Shaw-era humbuckers, which are well known for their warm, PAF-like tone! Gibson “Chainsaw” hardshell case does feature one broken latch (at the rear), but it offers more than ample protection of the instrument!
This workhorse of a guitar is ready to be let out of the gate! It’s not expected to stick around long, so make it yours today!
