Description
These Latin style white wood claves are exceptionally resonant, with variable sound qualities. Claves traditionally are used for rhythmic patterns that form the basis of Latin music; they produce bright, cracking sounds to keep the beat. Both are the same size, although one is the “male” clave, to be held in a cupped hand, and one is the “female” striker, to tap against the held clave. Test to discover the difference – when the correct clave is tapped with the striker, it will produce a lower, more resonant sound.
