Description
This 1970-1975 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe shows noticeable, but normal cosmetic wear one would expect with a vintage instrument and is in excellent playing condition! It’s original gold top was stripped at some point, revealing its natural wood grain! Light wear can be found on the top, while heavy wear can be seen on the back of the body, sides, back of the neck and headstock. A significant ding can also be found at the lower bout. These imperfections are cosmetic in nature only and do not affect the functionality of the instrument. Very structurally sound! Neck is straight as an arrow! Aesthetically pleasing with its cool, road worn vibe – tons of mojo! Looks, plays and sounds great!
The pickups, pickup rings, strap buttons and Sprague capacitors appear to be original, but most components have been replaced with high quality aftermarket parts. The guitar received a full jumbo (nickel) refret in recent years and frets show little to no wear! A new bone nut was also professionally hand crafted and installed by our very own luthier extraordinaire, Aidan Berry! The original Gibson Deluxe tuners were swapped out for diecast/sealed Grovers (ala Jimmy Page), but these tuners themselves are vintage. A new TonePros ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece, top hat knob set, three-way pickup selector switch/switch tip and Pure Tone input jack have all been installed. Original Gibson potentiometers were replaced with a set of CTS pots in the ’90s (potentiometer code shows a date of 1994). Lastly, a WD pickguard has replaced the original. For the purists, the original bridge, tailpiece, 3-way pickup selector switch, input jack, nut and frets are also included!
Original hardshell case show light, normal wear and is 100% functional!
