About Tom Bedell:

When he was just 14, Tom Bedell was giving guitar lessons in his hometown of Spirit Lake, Iowa. Also at age 14, Tom started importing guitars from Japan and putting his name on the headstock. Soon, Bedell was making his own guitars, playing in local bands and growing his business. By the time he was 16, his wholesale business had grown to half a million dollars. That’s when he decided to open his own music store, Bedell Guitar Company. In 1968 he was the youngest person ever to exhibit at the NAMM Show.

Several years and many life changes later, he and his wife, Molly, got back into the music industry and opened a small music retail store called Two Old Hippies. They purchased Breedlove Guitars and bought back the Bedell Guitar brand.
