Pensacola’s Only
Full-Line Music Store

… but what does that mean?

Sometimes we use the phrase “full-line music store” to describe what we do. Essentially, that means we sell products across all musical instrument categories as well as pro audio installations or rentals, music lessons, and school band instrument rentals. We also service and repair instruments from piccolos to pianos. PLUS, we teach lessons in our school of music for everything we sell. We’ll even buy your used instruments.

Whether you’re a traveling professional in town for a gig or starting out on your musical journey, Blues Angel Music is your one-stop shop for everything you need.

We’ve got it all, and we do it all. And we’re the only ones in the area who can say that!

Locally Owned

Blues Angel Music was founded in August of 1997 by retired Navy Captain and fighter pilot, Jim DeStafney. He and his wife Nan, a retired Navy forensics officer, have grown the store from its one-man, 1,000 square foot beginnings into a 15,000 square foot, full-line music store, complete with a fully-staffed school of music.

Nationally Recognized

We have been named a NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Top 100 Dealer 11 years running, and we’ve also been voted Best of the Bay, Best of the Coast, and Small Business of the Year. These awards are due to our friendly staff of experts who are eager to provide information and advice relating to any of the instruments, accessories, and services we offer.

What makes
Blues Angel Music special?

Two words: OUR PEOPLE

Greet everyone who comes through the door and start a real conversation. This idea is at the core of Blues Angel Music’s founder, Jim DeStafney’s, customer service principle. There are no VIP customers, only VIP service. When Jim founded the company in 1997, customer service was a natural part of the equation. Now, customer service is, perhaps, more important than the products we offer.

People can buy musical instruments anywhere online; they buy them at Blues Angel Music because of the service they receive. Over the years, as the customer base grew, Jim added employees, making sure to only hire the “right people” — musicians. Everyone who works at Blues Angel Music has stood on the other side of the counter and knows what they expect from a music store.
