Description
This 2008 Reverend Charger 290 Electric Guitar has been previously owned and is in good cosmetic shape with noticeable, but normal wear! Scratches, nicks and pressure dimples can be seen throughout the body and few tiny indentations can be found on the back of the neck. These imperfections are cosmetic in nature only and do not affect the functionality of the instrument. Very structurally sound! Neck is straight as an arrow and frets show little to no wear. Looks, plays and sounds great! Case/gig bag sold separately.
This rare bird is one of the original Charger 290’s made from 2005-2008. The model was reintroduced in 2012 with a new pickup design and a chrome metal control plate.
Excerpt from Guitar Player Magazine (2006)
Reverend has introduced the Charger 290 guitar, one of their new Stage King series.
Winner of Guitar Player Magazine’s Editors’ Pick Award, the Charger 290 features a solid spruce top (not veneer or plywood) and mahogany body with strategically placed tone chambers for a resonant, light, and lively instrument that responds to the player’s touch.
The bridge pickup is slightly hotter than a traditional soapbar, and the neck pickup slightly cleaner for balanced tone and volume. The Charger 290 works well for clean or dirty sounds, and the Bass Contour varies the pickup voicing from country twang to raunchy rock.
