Description

This Modified 2011 Collings 290 S Electric Guitar has been previously owned and is in very good cosmetic shape with normal scratches, pressure dimples and one small finish chip. A neck pickup route was performed to accommodate a P90 neck pickup and a hole was drilled to accommodate a pickup selector switch, but the previous owner never completed the conversion. The screw hole on the left side of the neck pickup route can be seen right by the pickguard (closeup shown in pic 8). Our professional luthiers can complete the conversion if desired, so feel free to let us know if we can provide a quote! Neck is straight as an arrow and frets show light wear. Tailpiece and tone capacitor are aftermarket parts, but all other components appear to be original. A second tailpiece is also included. Original hardshell case is in great shape with minimal wear! Dialing back the volume and tone controls brings out the smooth, compressed, and mellow sounds the P90 pickup is capable of without losing articulation.
