Description

This 2019 Taylor Custom 414ce V-Class Special-Edition Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar has been very gently owned and is in excellent condition with minimal wear! A couple of tiny, barely visible scratches on the soundboard and normal tarnishing of the tuning machines can be detected under close inspection, but it’s otherwise super clean! Neck is straight as an arrow and frets show no wear. Looks, plays and sounds fantastic!

A factory second instrument, it was professionally refurbished by MIRC (Musical Instrument Reclamation Corporation) in Nashville, TN, hence the gold sticker affixed to the label and “USED” stamped on the back of the headstock. It’s unknown what the imperfection was, but it was likely a minor finish flaw.

Original hardshell case is in excellent shape!

Taylor 414ce V-Class SE—The Penultimate Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric

Discover the exquisite blend of sonic brilliance, playing comfort and cutting-edge innovation embodied in the Taylor 414ce V-Class Special Edition. This Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar represents a high-water mark in modern luthiery, pairing premium, solid tonewoods with Taylor’s revolutionary bracing system and state-of-the-art electronics. It’s an instrument designed not just to be played, but to inspire, offering unparalleled responsiveness and tonal richness for the discerning musician.

Supreme Comfort and Playability—Designed for Every Player and Style

Taylor’s signature Grand Auditorium body shape strikes the ideal balance between playing comfort and sonic output. It delivers robust volume and a wonderfully balanced tone across the spectrum, yet feels remarkably comfortable whether you’re playing seated or standing. The graceful Venetian cutaway provides effortless access to the upper frets, inviting exploration across the entire smooth ebony fingerboard. This versatile design makes the 414ce exceptionally responsive to both delicate fingerstyle guitar work and dynamic strumming guitar techniques, ensuring clarity and power regardless of your approach.

Revolutionary V-Class Bracing—Enhanced Volume, Sustain and Intonation

Experience the future of acoustic tone with Taylor’s groundbreaking V-Class bracing. This internal architecture fundamentally improves how the Sitka spruce top vibrates, resulting in noticeably increased volume and sustain. More profoundly, it resolves the intonation issues inherent in traditional bracing, allowing notes and chords to ring out with stunning harmonic purity and accuracy all the way up the neck. The result is a richer, fuller and more musically expressive voice that elevates every performance.

Taylor ES2 Electronics—Peerless Amplified Sound for Stage and Studio

Capturing the true acoustic voice of the 414ce is Taylor’s acclaimed Expression System 2 (ES2). This innovative behind-the-saddle pickup design utilizes three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated sensors to convey the guitar’s natural warmth, dynamic range and intricate detail when plugged in. It translates the instrument’s sonic soul with breathtaking fidelity, making it an exceptional stage guitar and studio guitar. Intuitive onboard controls for volume and tone shaping, plus a phase switch for feedback control, provide complete command over your amplified sound.

Exquisite Tonewood Pairing—Solid Sitka Spruce Meets Indian Rosewood

The foundation of the 414ce’s remarkable tone lies in its premium solid wood construction. A solid Sitka spruce top provides the dynamic range, articulation and crisp projection guitars are prized for. This is perfectly complemented by solid Indian rosewood back and sides, which contribute deep, resonant lows and sparkling high-end overtones, adding complexity and richness. Combined with a genuine West African ebony fingerboard and bridge, these carefully selected materials ensure not only superior sound but also lasting beauty and performance
