Crafted with classic Gretsch style and playability, this exceptional instrument honors the company’s historic past while also providing essential features for the modern player. The G5420T-140 features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired perimeters and refined arches, as well as trestle block bracing to help reduce unwanted feedback. By increasing rigidity and contact between the top and back of the body, the trestle block design also results in the sound having a faster attack with more focus, snap and increased sustain.Loaded with a duo of FT-5E Filter’Tron humbucking pickups, the G5420T-140’s voice explodes with full-bodied punch, classic chime and enhanced presence, clarity and note definition. The combination of individual pickup volume controls, master tone and master volume with treble bleed circuit provides intuitive global control over your pickup and tone settings. A classic C-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable feel for improved playability and performance. The G5420T-140 features a striking two-tone finish with matching pickguard and pickup bezels, chrome hardware and a matching headstock with commemorative 140th Anniversary head plaque.
