PRS designed the David Grissom 15-watt tube head to capture the conviction, warmth, and fidelity and of the versatile guitarist’s favorite vintage amplifiers. With three footswitchable effects and four global parameters, this amp exceeds the capabilities of most compact heads! Lower levels produce sparkling and soulful vintage-style cleans like those David Grissom lays down when working with artists like Storyville and John Mellencamp. Meanwhile, the Master volume control and a footswitchable boost provide a vast canvas for dynamic rises and falls, as well as saturated overdriven tube tones. Speaking of tubes, this head has quite a few: two EL-84s, one GZ34 rectifier, three 12AX7, and one 12AT7! Your three onboard effects are reverb, a variable boost, and a vintage-style tremolo that’s fueled with real-time changes in the bias of your tubes. Each effect can be triggered with the included PRS footswitch, and there are three toggles on the amp for tailoring how the Boost, Bright, Master volume, and Tremolo behave with the footswitch. The sum of these controls and their vast array of possible combinations add up to an incredibly robust 15-watt head that you simply must experience for yourself.
