Description
This awesome 1965 Vox Hurricane Electric Guitar is in very good cosmetic shape with normal wear one would expect with a vintage instrument and is in excellent playing condition! The guitar just received a professional stainless steel refret by our very own master luthier, Taylor Wilton and its original chimney single-coil pickups were rewound by Tom Brantley, renowned winder for the one and only Geddy Lee! In addition, a new wiring harness was installed and features new CTS pots, 3-way switch, .01 and .022 capacitors and a Pure Tone output jack. The original frets and wiring harness are also included for the purists out there! The tremolo system was also reworked and is 100% functional.Minor scratches and pressure dimples on the body are present along with a noticeable finish chip at the bass side of the neck pocket. Pickguard shows normal age-related shrinkage. These imperfections are cosmetic in nature only and do not affect the functionality of the instrument. Very structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing – tons of mojo! Neck is straight as an arrow and truss rod is fully functional. A vintage instrument that is ready to go and plays like a brand new guitar!Original hardshell case shows normal cosmetic wear and is fully functional! Original owner’s manual and Vox pouch are also included.
***Please note that the tremolo system, though fully functional, does require frequent tightening of the arm. Our luthiers installed two plastic washers to help firm the arm up (shown in photo #8), but it does eventually loosen again and swing freely after play.***
