At the heart of the SA2200’s innovative design is Yamaha’s SRT Zero Impact pickup. This groundbreaking pickup offers unmatched harmonic clarity and string balance through its staggered pole pieces and specially treated coils. The SA2200’s push-pull tone knob provides access to a boost function for added gain and sustain. Shape your sound further with the 3-way pickup selector, choosing between the neck pickup alone, both pickups together or the bridge pickup by itself.
Solid Mahogany Body Resonates With Vintage Style
The SA2200 semi-hollow features a solid mahogany body with an iconic f-hole for a resonant yet focused tone. Mahogany provides a warm, balanced sound with emphasized low-end and crisp highs. The f-hole also adds airiness and dimension. The gold hardware completes the vintage esthetic. The SA2200’s chambered body is lightweight at only 7.9 pounds and is comfortable for long performances. Its double-cutaway design also offers easy access to higher frets.
Fast Maple Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard Provide Buttery Playability
The SA2200’s fast maple neck and rosewood fingerboard make for a smooth playing experience. The slim D-profile neck has a comfortable width and features 22 medium frets. Dot inlays help guide your fingers across the rosewood fingerboard. A bone nut and die-cast tuners keep the SA2200 in tune through dynamic performances. The scale length measures 24.75″” for balanced string tension and intonation.
