Description

This 2000 Brian Moore Custom Shop USA C55P Electric Guitar Upgraded with New Piezo, Synth and More has been previously owned and shows noticeable, but normal wear one would expect with a vintage instrument. Blemishes can be detected throughout the body, but these imperfections are cosmetic in nature only and do not affect the functionality of the guitar. Very structurally sound! The previous owner also glued the strap buttons in, so a tiny amount of residue between the buttons and the body can be seen. Neck is straight as an arrow and frets show little to no wear. Looks, plays and sounds great! Original hardshell case shows noticeable cosmetic wear, but is 100% functional.

History of the Guitar

It was manufactured in 2000 at the company’s original location in Brewster, NY. In October of 2017, it was sent back to Brian Moore, where they added a new Ghost piezo and synth capabilities. The original standard output jack was replaced with a smart jack to accommodate a mono or stereo cable. Several other components were replaced as well. Surface cracks on both sides of the neck pocket were repaired and frets were redressed. A detailed writeup from the company explaining all services performed is below.

Here are few pieces of important information about your guitar (from Brian Moore Guitars)

1- The guitar has an extra toggle switch that allows you toggle between magnetic (Up) piezo acoustic (Down) or blend of both in the middle.

2- The guitar has a smart output jack, it will work with both a standard guitar cable and a stereo Y cable, the smart output jack senses this automatically.

3- The smart output jack circuit and piezo acoustic preamp run off the battery, so it’s best to unplug the quarter inch jack when the guitars not being used to preserve battery life.

Yes, we had a few unexpected issues, see description below.

There were serious issues with the guitar electronics. As a result, we replaced all pots and switches.

The frets were bad and at some point they were leveled incorrectly (with the truss rod over tightened )
We corrected the issue and leveled and dressed the frets.

The pickup height could not be adjusted, the threads were stripped, there were different size screws. We corrected the issue.

I made an executive decision and upgraded to guitar with beautiful chrome rings.

Some of the pot shafts broke off inside the black knobs, so we replaced the knobs.

I made another executive decision and used chrome : )

The springs were fatigued, we replaced.

Your guitar controls work the same as this one below (see pictures)
