In addition to all the period-correct specifications found in the American Vintage II series, this limited edition model delivers extra Custom Shop–level appeal thanks to its stunning 3A flame maple neck, all without the Custom Shop price tag.
This guitar includes a deluxe tweed hardshell case, original paperwork, tremolo arm, and saddle adjustment tool. The feel and playability are outstanding, with a perfectly balanced weight of 7.64 lb and a smooth, comfortable vintage neck profile. The Fender American Vintage II series offers an incredibly accurate recreation of the instruments that defined modern music. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks, hardware, premium nitro finishes, and meticulously voiced year-specific pickups, these guitars capture the essence of true vintage Fender tone and feel.
By 1961, the Stratocaster had evolved into a more refined instrument, featuring elegant curves, a redesigned sunburst aesthetic, and a classic 3-ply pickguard. This model honors that era with a premium alder body, Pure Vintage–style synchronized tremolo, and a trio of Custom Shop Fat ’60s single-coil Stratocaster pickups, delivering warm lows, chimey highs, and unmistakable vintage character.
The 1961 “C”-shaped flame maple neck is finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and paired with a 7.25″ radius slab rosewood fingerboard, clay dot inlays, and vintage tall frets for an authentic playing experience. Additional vintage-correct details include single-line “Fender Deluxe” tuners, bent steel saddles, mint green pickguard, and aged white plastics.
