Description
This beautiful 2001 Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar has been previously owned and professionally refinished in Blue! The original finish is believed to be Emerald based on the color found inside the bridge pickup cavity. Very well done and one of the better refinishes we’ve seen! Light, normal scratches and tiny pressure dimples on the body are present, but it’s overall very clean! A minimal amount of primer along the sides of the neck between the finish and the fingerboard can also be detected under close inspection. The top of the headstock shows a finish flaw right above the nut and some minor delamination can be seen at the A and B tuning machine posts. The back of the headstock shows the filled holes from where the original tuning machines were mounted, but they’re very difficult to see. Neck is straight as an arrow and frets show little to no wear. Looks, plays and sounds fantastic!
The original Gibson 490R neck humbucker remains, but the original Gibson 498T bridge humbucker has been swapped out in favor of a Seymour Duncan ’59 Model humbucker. The original Grover Rotomatic tuning machines have been replaced with a set of Sperzel locking tuners. The original Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge showed some caving, so a brand new TonePros bridge was installed.
Original hardshell case shows normal nicks and scuffs and is 100% functional.
