DESCRIPTION
Here’s a killer example of Fender’s short-lived Elite II Precision Bass from the mid ’80s. Made in the USA, the Elite II took the classic P-Bass formula and added a second split-coil pickup, active electronics, and upgraded hardware for a much wider range of tones.
The dual P pickups give it plenty of the punch and low-end you’d expect from a Precision, with some extra bite and versatility when you start blending in the bridge pickup. These were only made for a few years and have become increasingly tough to find.
A very cool piece of ’80s Fender history and a great player to boot!
