Fender Stratocaster / Partscaster – with Upgrades
This is a USED instrument. The serial number suggests that the year of production is 1989 – 1990:
- E = 1980s, 1st digit “9” = 1989, but this range overlaps into 1990..

Here we have a heavily modified partscaster. While all the hardware consists of after-market parts, the body and neck appear to be original to each other. Most of the finish on the back of the neck has been sanded down, feeling nice when playing.
In addition to upgraded parts, the body has a non-original paint job in a “gold/cream” color; covering up the guitar’s original finish in a beautiful Red.
This example has minor nicks, dings, and scratches on the body, pickguard, and top of the headstock. But nothing major to report. This guitar has been heavily upgraded and professionally set up by our in-house technicians (see upgrades list). Everything works as expected and the instrument is in excellent playing condition.
This would be a great guitar for someone looking for a durable & functional player, OR anyone who’d like to try and reveal that beautiful & original Red finish that still might be intact… Why not both?
